The Integrated Emergency Battery Backup Unit (I-EBBU) is specifically designed to provide at least three hours of emergency battery backup power to any ActiveLED® Light Fixture, suitable for indoor use
The ActiveLED® Integrated EBB Unit (I-EBBU) includes a 30-Watt ActiveLED Driver, 48 Volt DC Battery Pack (Sealed Lead Acid) and Battery Charger that monitors and charges the battery as required.
Should the AC power to the I-EBBU unit be disconnected or fail for any reason, the attached fixture will continue to operate on battery power and will automatically adjust its output level to an emergency power-saving mode to ensure operation for at least three hours.
When the AC power is restored to the I-EBBU, it will trickle-charge the emergency battery and thereafter maintain the battery at its maximum capacity.
The I-EBB Unit consists of a sealed 48 VDC lead-acid battery pack, ActiveLED Driver and Battery Charger in a self-contained housing that is cable-connected to an ActiveLED light fixture.
The prerequisite for the I-EBB is a "remote" ActiveLED® light fixture without a power supply that is then cable-connected to the I-EBBU via a two-conductor low-voltage cable (not supplied).
LED Status Indicator
A single LED is visible from the outside of the I-EBBU unit housing to indicate the status of the battery pack, as follows:

| Solid Red LED | Battery is in operation, powering the attached light fixture. |
| Flashing Red LED | Battery condition is too low to power the attached light fixture. |
| Solid Green LED | Battery condition is good and is not in operation, it is being trickle-charged by the I-EBBU. |
