Because of its non-toxicity, the natural abundance of iron, its excellent thermal stability, safety characteristics, electrochemical performance, and specific capacity, LiFePO4 batteries have a very constant discharge voltage. The voltage stays close to 3.2 V per cell during discharge and this allows the cell to deliver virtually full power until it has reached its safe discharge level.
