12V AC Sine Wave Power Supply with Battery Backup Option for ActiveLED® and other Low Voltage 12V AC devices such as spider lights. One output that comes on when power fails allows attachment of 12V-AC siren and / or a 12V-AC light.
Power Source to power ActiveLED® 12V AC Low Voltage Lighting fixtures and other 12V AC devices. The Power Source can drive up to 10 individually connected (in spider fashion) ActiveLED Lighting fixtures, up to a combined maximum of 100 Watt - single channel of 70 Watt.
The ActiveLED® Power Source includes a manual Battery Interrupter to allow charging of the device and then turning it off (once disconnected from the main power). Thus allowing the device to be transported with fully charged batteries.
The Uninterruptible 12V AC Output Power Supply can be used in conjunction with ActiveLED Low Voltage Explosion Proof light fixtures being in full compliance with OSHA requirements for portable lighting in wet or conductive locations in confined spaces (1926.405(a)(2)(ii)(G)).
Switched output option (only on UPS version)
Provides an additional 12V-AC output that activates when charging power fails. It can be used for a siren or a light that come on as an indication that emergency power from the battery has been activated.
Why Low Voltage AC in confined and conductive environments
Low voltage reduces the risk of electrocution from exposed wires. 12V is a low voltage, but, when exposed wires are dragged over a conductive surface DC can produce a much longer and sustained ark igniting most things. AC on the other hand interrupts an ark 60 times a second and produces a fraction of the energy in an ark compared to DC.
ActiveLED® Technology
Ringdale uses the latest in energy efficient Switch-Mode Power Supply and Inverter technology. The state-of-the-art electronics of the ActiveLED Power Source monitor current and temperature of the inverter and batteries to assure maximum performance under the prevailing environmental conditions.
This technology achieves a Product Lifetime of 90,000 hours with an 80% Battery Capacity retention after 2000 re-charges. The overall efficiency of the device is >92% (94% typical) making the device more efficient than a conventional transformer.
Batteries are re-charged after approx. two hours of runtime as 30W of power are reserved for re-charging or maintaining the battery (only applicable when emergency battery option is installed).

We provide mechanically robust power supply and lighting systems; our warranties are 10 years on Power Supply and 5 years on the Backup Batteries.
